Description of Wedding Portrait Sessions

There are four main photo sessions that are typically done for a wedding: the Engagements, the Bridals, the Wedding and the Reception.  On this page we'll describe each session and give full pricing information.  We have no fine print in our pricing policy and don't believe in hidden costs.

The Engagement Portrait Session     (complimentary with every wedding package)

The primary purpose of this session is to capture the sparkle between the two of you for  your wedding announcements.  Some of your images will be formal and some more relaxed.  During this photo session, your photographer will get to know both of you better and get a feel for how to get the best possible images.  It also gives you a chance to let her know about any special requests you may have for the wedding and reception.  Engagement sessions can be done in our studio or outdoors; plan on spending at least 30 minutes (not counting travel time to location).  Since the Engagement session is provided as a part of each of our wedding packages, you are able to select which images you want to use, and we will supply those full size files to use as you need for invitations. We can also design invitations for you: Montage Announcement

The Bridal Portrait Session      $125

The purpose of the Bridals is to get some great keepsake pictures of the Bride (and for display at the reception).  Bridals are usually shot a week or two prior to the wedding after the Bride picks out her gown.  (We may be able to get prints in less than a week; just ask.)  Bridals can be shot either in our studio or outdoors.  With the Bridal Session, you get an 11 x 14 enlargement to display.  Full size image files and additional enlargements are also available. If the Bridals are included in your package, you may request to use the Bridals for some of the prints that come with your package.

Wedding and Reception Packages

Don't you love looking through your parents' wedding album?  We feel it an honor to be able to provide you with an album, full of memories, that you will be showing to your children.  We also consider it a great responsibility.  Over the last few years we've noticed that we're happiest with our wedding results when we have two photographers rather than just one.  While one photographer is concentrating on getting the group and couple shots, the second photographer becomes crucial in capturing the candid, unguarded moments.  We want your album to contain both.  We also want your album to be able to tell the story of your wedding.  To do this well, we use a selection of photos of your choice, and design your unique wedding album in a hard bound coffee table style book. You may include any combination you like, from the engagement and bridal to the wedding and reception, or just the wedding itself, it is your story!

One Location Package (wedding or reception)           $ 495

• Up to three and a half hours combined time for both locations

• Engagement portrait session

And includes the following prints:

• "After the wedding" relaxed portrait session of the bride and groom - when you don't have to worry about keeping the dress clean. Up the canyon? In the river? Riding a motorcycle? Your choice of location! Travel fee may apply.

Photo Retouching

All prints larger than 4x6  include removal of facial blemishes.  Additional retouching such as head swapping can be done for $35 per hour.

Mounted Prints

Picture Post Cards

Great for announcements, bridal invitations or thank-you cards.  Post cards are 4x6 and printed on heavy gloss stock.  Picture on front and return address and/or short message on back.  Post cards are cheaper to mail.

Image Files

Included with your package is a CD that contains proof image files.  These files have been optimized for quick loading and display on your computer monitor; however, due to their smaller file size, they do not make good prints. Each package now comes with the full size digital file of each print you order. You are welcome to make duplicate prints from these high quality files.  Many local developers (Costco, Macy's, Wal-Mart, etc.) offer prints from full size digital files.  Some (Snelsons, Allens, Kenneys etc.) offer professional retouching.
